Melbourne tunes up for guitar show

The Melbourne Guitar Show (MGS) looks likely to be massive this year.

The lineup for the MGS is a prestigious one, with the likes of Albert Lee headed for the city this time around. Australia’s Jeff Lang will be joining the foreign stars and Daniel Champagne, a young virtuoso, has made the grade. Flyer printing may be to the advantage of event organisers in the recreation sector.

Rob Walker, who has played a leading role in putting the MGS together, stated:

“After an awesome show last year, we’re looking forward to continuing the tradition the show is creating.”

Walker underlined that there are a range of reasons to come along as a spectator. There will be an abundance of learning opportunities for those who want more than the live music. Seminars and demonstrations will be made accessible to interested people. Further, there will be the possibility of purchasing a guitar or related kit. Top manufacturers of amplifiers, pedals and guitars are going to get in on the commercial action.

In 2017, in excess of 5,000 guitar fans came to the MGS. This August could see even more enthusiasts turn up to appreciate the event in question. Although an exciting line-up has been announced, more names could be announced as the weekend approaches.

Caulfield Racecourse has been selected as the venue for the show, which takes place during the August 4-5 weekend.
