Mona Vale mansion goes up for sale

A designer residence within Mona Vale is being put on the market at over $4.5m.

The mansion is currently the property of Garth Mathews, who is the chief executive at Secure Parking. Full colour printing in Mona Vale may be used to showcase housing in the suburb.

The decision to sell the house was made after a big corporate move. Mathews is just one of the chiefs at Secure Parking, and the business is the largest firm in its sector within Australia. A large interest in the company has recently been sold to Park24 – an operator of car parks within Japan. The deal has made the organisation a major player in the parking world.

The mansion in question has six bedrooms, along with six bathrooms. It was acquired in 2005, having changed hands for just over $2m at the time. The property is over 1,100 square metres in area and contains a spa, a swimming pool and a media room. Mark Flew, an entrepreneur with an interest in earthmoving machinery, is a previous owner of the place.

Mathews established Secure Parking back in 1979, and nearly 40% of the market in Australia has since been dominated by the enterprise. Its biggest rival on the national scale is Wilson Parking, which has about a third of the Australian market under its control.
