Musical lineup for Hyperfest to be announced soon

Midland Oval will be the venue for the 2018 Hyperfest.

Perth’s only alcohol, smoke and drug-free music festival is once again set to present a plethora of entertainment to suit all music preferences.

A City of Swan spokesman said last year the event attracted 3,500 people and featured a big silent disco and 66 artists who performed live on four stages.

He said last year, the musical lineup included Allday, Amy Shark, Hands Like Houses, Ocean Grove, and Asta.

Flyer printing promoting the event will feature the 2018 lineup for Hyperfest which the spokesman said is to be finalised soon.

Those attending the event next year will enjoy entertainment on two main stages and there will also be an extra chillout stage plus food vans, promotional products and a wide range of games and attractions, including water attractions such as a dunk tank and water slides.

City of Swan Councillor Mark Elliott said one of the festival highlights was the extraordinary talent of performers on show, adding:

“In 2017, more than 150 local bands and 40 DJs from all over Australia applied to get involved in Hyperfest.”

Applications from Western Australian DJs and bands to take part in Hyperfest have now closed and Cr. Elliott said the successful lineup will be revealed soon.

Further information on the February 24 event is available on the Hyperfest website.
