Nationwide photography masterclass comes to Richmond

October 19, 2017 by

The Canon Light Awards LIVE workshops, which have been held in three other major cities around Australia, are on their way to Richmond in Melbourne.

A choice of four different masterclasses will be held on the first morning of a two-day event, and participants will have 24 hours to complete a project before judging on the second day.

The four categories to choose from will be run by the following master photographers: Fashion with Sarah Fountain, Travel with Richard l’Anson, Environmental Portraiture with Ben Clement, and Art of Vision with Tony Hewitt.

The four winners in each category will take home a Canon printer complete with ink and paper. Even for those who do not win, the skills learned may entice them towards using local printing services for promotional products and business cards.

Each of the four category winners will have a chance to compete in the State Final in November to become the representative for Victoria. This winner will go to the Grand Final to be held at a mystery destination in December. The big prize will be an East African safari trip in 2018.

The two-day event will take place at the HOYTS Victoria Gardens, 620 Victoria Street, Richmond, this Saturday, October 21, and Sunday, October 22, from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. The cost to participate is $79 per person. To reserve a place, interested parties should email:
