A $1.6bn new development by JQZ is set to transform the skyline of St Leonards over the next four years.

The project involves the development of a large retail, commercial and residential precinct, which aims to replicate Chatswood in St. Leonards. A commercial space of approximately 30,000 sqm will include fine dining restaurants, a supermarket, retailers and even a library.

According to Ben Stewart, sales director of CBRE, St. Leonards has been crowned as the next Chatswood due to its growing eatery and retail outlets. The public response towards the new development has been phenomenal since the opening of the first release.

Within a short time, 140 out of the 180 apartment units from the initial release have already been sold. Many of the buyers are from the upper or lower north shore, and are said to be mainly attracted by the convenience of the location and amenities.

Penthouses with large living spaces around 169sqm and 217sqm are also included in the development plan. Moreover, some buyers will be able to enjoy views of Sydney Harbour from their future homes.

The second phase of the apartments will be released in April 2018.

Potential home buyers or investors who are interested in finding out more about the new residential developments in St. Leonards are encouraged to get in touch with real estate agents in the area. Contact details of good agents can be obtained via business cards or from real estate websites.
