New hardware store to open in Wangara

A new Bunnings Warehouse is set to open on Hartman Drive in Wangara within the coming months, which will potentially draw in new tenants to the area via increasing traffic flow and business activity. The warehouse will span over 13,000 sqm while creating more than 100 new local jobs.

The popular international hardware store – with its widely recognised green, white, and red logo design bearing the slogan “lowest prices are just the beginning” – is a one-stop destination for all garden, hardware and DIY tools.

According to Andrew Marks, general manager of Bunnings, the company also plans to open more stores on several other previous Master store sites.

According to Anthony Vunlinovich, director of Raine and Horne Commercial, Wangara has been badly affected by the real estate and retail slump over the past two years. Using the hype of the new Bunnings as a selling point, Raine and Horne Commercial is also promoting the sales of two new warehouses along Mullingar Way. While 24 Mulllingar Way has already been completed, the development of No 32 should be finalised soon.

According to Daniel Romeo, agency associate at Raine and Horne Commercial, so far the developers have already sold 16 units. These new businesses encompass a personal storage, auto mechanic, and flooring company. The agency is still looking for more buyers or tenants, ideally from business backgrounds of automotive, building or trades.
