Nomination open for 2018 Hume Business Awards

Businesses in Broadmeadows and throughout the City of Hume have an opportunity to be acknowledged as part of this year’s 2018 Hume Business Awards.

Nominations are now open for the awards, which are held each year by Hume City Council to celebrate the contribution made by the commercial sector into the local economy and the entire community. A council spokesman said:

“Hume City’s businesses support the economic prosperity of the region by providing employment opportunities and delivering exceptional products and services.”

The awards cover everything from printing services to retail, manufacturing and export industries, with categories including the catering sector in such fields as Café & Restaurants and Food Manufacturing, as well as Tourism and Hospitality. There are also categories of Diversity and Sustainability.

Business award nominations, which must be received by August 10, can be made by business clients, associates, employees or owners.

All businesses must be registered within Hume City and hold a registered ABN. All entries must be submitted by the due date to be considered for the 2018 Hume Business Awards.

Finalists will be selected by a panel of judges and advised during the week of September 17 with this year’s winners announced at a special awards ceremony on October 19.
