Nonstop blues music to ring out at the Docklands

October 4, 2016 by

Lovers of the blues will be entertained by uninterrupted music on three stages both inside and outside, at the fifth annual Docklands Blues Music Festival in Melbourne.

Stages will be set up at the Wonderland Spiegeltent, Harbour Town Hotel and beneath the Melbourne Star Observation Wheel. Licensed areas will be available for liquid refreshments, and food carts will abound, including sellers of carnival food as well as a special ‘Blues Food’ food truck supplying Southern cooking. There will be amusement available for adults and children, including rides and other activities.

Organised and put on as an annual family event by Wonderland Entertainment and Leisure, entertainers this year include Mark Green, Andrea Marr and the Funky Hitmen, Sugar Bowl Hokum, and Sweet Felicia and the Tradies.

Spiegeltent is a Dutch word meaning “mirror tent” and it can be used for a variety of events including circuses, comedy shows, cabaret and musical shows, and gigs as well as parties and other celebrations. The Wonderland Spiegeltent contains stained glass windows, as well as mirrors.

Flyers, banner printing, promotional products and poster printing are likely to be in use for this event, which will be held on Sunday, October 16 from 10:00 am to 10:00 pm at the Docklands, Melbourne. Entry will be free and open to all ages.
