The Sunshine Plaza Redevelopment has brought many new and exciting things to the residents of Maroochydore and 2019 will continue this trend after a recent application for an adventure course were approved.

Developers have indicated that:

“Sunshine Plaza will be home to the first outdoor high ropes course at a major regional shopping centre in the country and the world's largest ropes course on poles.”

The course will include 16 zip lines, 150 challenges and a 22-metre-high viewing platform. The longest zip line will measure 130 metres and will travel across Cornmeal Creek. There will be an extensive range of challenges and activities suitable for ages six and over.

Trees Adventure are the specialist adventure high ropes company chosen to design and run the course. Experiences are expected to run at intervals of 1-3 hours and drop-off sessions will be available – allowing kids to tackle the course while their parents are shopping in the Plaza. New businesses ventures like this often use printing services and promotional products to raise awareness of their activities and services.

Sunshine Plaza opened the first stage of its $420 million redevelopment in November 2018. The project is designed to provide an extraordinary shopping experience combined with leisure, fashion and tourist offerings. Further information about the redevelopment can be found on the Sunshine Plaza website.
