Plenty of choice for weekend markets near Randwick

Residents of Randwick are now lucky enough to have two local markets to choose from every weekend – a farmers’ market on Saturdays and a relaxed market place to chill on Sundays.

Randwick’s own Farmers Market closed down in April this year, after having been a popular Saturday meeting, eating and buying place for several years. However, the local markets of nearby Bondi Beach have plenty to offer.

Adjacent to the famous surfing beach, the Bondi Beach Public School hosts two markets every weekend. On Saturdays is the Farmers’ Market, where visitors can buy locally grown produce. Sundays see the more relaxed market known simply as Bondi Markets. This is the place to eat, browse, shop and generally chill out.

There are opportunities for stallholders in both markets. Local produce growers as well as entrepreneurs can benefit from leaving out the middleman and offering their goods directly to the public, with the help of banner printing and business cards from local print shops.

Bondi Farmers Market operates every Saturday from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm. The other Bondi Markets are open from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm every Sunday, or 5:00 pm in summer. Both markets are held in the grounds of the Bondi Beach Public School, on Campbell Parade, opposite the Bondi Beach Pavilion. Entrance to both markets is free.
