Randwick Town Hall to host Twilight Concert

June 19, 2017 by

Residents of Randwick will soon be able to enjoy the first stage of renovations to their beloved Town Hall. Thanks to the recent upgrade, this heritage-listed building now has a disability access lift and a new roof.

Bookings for hiring this popular venue are subject to further stages of the planned upgrade, but soon regulars will be able to see more presentations in addition to citizenship ceremonies and fundraising activities. No doubt these will bring renewed scope for printing services to support these ventures with brochures and flyers for their events.

The first concert to take advantage of the recent upgrade is this month’s Twilight Concert, featuring Mikelangelo and the Black Sea Gentlemen. The popular five-piece band consists of guitar, double bass, clarinet, accordion and violin.

For 16 years, their tours have ranged from the Edinburgh Festival to Budapest and back to the Sydney Opera House, as audiences respond to their special blend of Balkan folk music mixed with blues and swing. Their musical prowess is matched by their humour and energy, as they perform pieces from their most recent album ‘After the Flood’ which looks at the migration of people to Australia since the end of WWII.

The concert is on Friday, June 23, at 7:00 pm. Tickets are $22 for adults and $20 for concession. Booking is through the Eventbrite website.
