Records set to be broken at All Holden Car Show

A fundraising event in Print company in Dandenong printing services Dandenong, Print company in Victoria printing services Victoria could pave the way to a new Guinness World Record for the most Holden vehicle on parade.

It is anticipated that the inaugural Dandenong All Holden Car Show could attract up to 700 cars. According to event chairman John Ternel, only 300 vehicles will be required to clinch a new record under the watchful eye of Guiness World Record officials, who will be in attendance.

The Rotary Club of Endeavour Hills is organising the event, at which it is hoped a new benchmark will be set in regard to Holdens being paraded.

In addition to the world record attempt, the All Holden Car Show will be a family-friendly day out with plenty of awards and stalls.

Ternel said activities, which have been advertised on flyers and brochures, will include a jumping castle, face painting, a visit from Myuna Farm and a dozen different food vendors, adding that car enthusiasts will be in their element with advice available on everything from brakes and differentials, to radiators.

Women and car buffs below the age of 30 will also have an opportunity to win trophies for work they have undertaken on their Holdens.

Ternel said early makes of Holdens are attracting great interest from investors and the latest show should be well supported by locals and visitors.

Gates to the Dandenong All Holden Car Show will open at 9:00 am on Sunday, April 2 at the Dandenong Showgrounds. Entry is $5, with children under 16 free.
