Richmond footballer to appear in Melbourne

In December, Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre will host an evening of conversation with Richmond footballer Dustin Martin. The player sold out three similar events which were held in the city last year.

Martin has enjoyed success in his career, being the first AFL player to win the Norm Smith Medal, the Brownlow Medal, and be part of the Premiership winning team all in one season. A favourite with the Richmond fans, Martin is famed for his ‘don’t argue’ fend-off, a technique that makes him one of the most difficult players to tackle.

Drafted by Richmond in 2009 as a shy country boy, Martin has become a legend in Australian sport and attracts publicity with everything he does on or off the football field. From occasional drink-fuelled incidents, to prolonged negotiations over contracts, to his trademark tattoos, everything about Martin attracts media interest. He has become the face of Bonds Underwear and has sponsorship from sportswear brand, Puma.

The ‘Evening with Dustin Martin’ event is promoted as suitable for all ages. Events such as this often turn to printing services to provide them with promotional materials and merchandise.

Martin will be at The Plenary, Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre on Sunday December 9th from 7pm. Tickets are available through Eventbrite. He will also speak in Hobart at Wrest Point Entertainment Centre on Friday 14th December. Tickets for the Hobart event are available through Ticketmaster.
