Rockin’ @ Redleap to kick off kid’s holidays

Children’s Week will be kicked off in style with the staging of Rockin’@ Redleap at Redleap Reserve.

Organised by the City of Whittlesea, the event attracts people of all ages from Epping and throughout neighbouring suburbs each year. Events such as this are usually promoted through banner printing to alert the public of the main scheduled activities and their locations.

Organisers said this year’s Rockin’@ Redleap is something to be excited about with everything from interactive live performances, dancing, and storytelling on offer.

The extensive programme will also give children an opportunity to hear stories about the seven Wurundjeri Seasons, use Lego bricks to build their suburb, take photos in an instant photo booth, enjoy the Sky Story cinema, make huge clouds and bubbles, indulge in free face painting and even sweat their circus skills atop the 10-foot trapeze. Drinks and a selection of food will be available.

The event, to be held on October 21 from midday to 4pm, has been deemed a ‘plastic and polystyrene packaging-free’ activity as a positive way of reducing its impact on the local environment.

Organisers have requested that residents take their own water bottles, bags and reusable coffee cups. They are also urged to ride, walk or catch public transport to Redleap, which is located on the bus route.
