Seaford hosts Twilight Market to support those in need

As Christmas draws near, the community of Seaford will hold a special evening market that will not only suit the festive mood of the season, but will also see proceeds benefiting community members in need.

The Christmas Twilight Market will be held as a fundraiser for Donation Chain Inc., a non-profit organisation in Frankston that helps to provide essential items to disadvantaged or homeless people in the greater Frankston area. The organisation collects and distributes bags of toiletries, other personal care items, clothing, bags, blankets and sleeping bags.

While Christmas is traditionally the season of goodwill and supporting worthy causes, it is also the best time of year for twilight markets. With it being a summer activity at the end of the working week, it means people can take advantage of the cooler evening temperature to browse for Christmas gifts, or just enjoy the atmosphere.

In addition to market stalls, the Christmas Twilight Market will have face painting and live music. There will also be raffle prizes and a visit from Santa himself. For events like this, local print shops often provide banner printing for stalls, as well as flyer printing.

The Christmas Twilight Market will be held at the Seaford Community Centre, Broughton Street, Seaford, this Friday, December 1, from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm.
