Search on for inspirational operator of trendy New Myer café

Northern Beaches residents in centres including Brookvale and Mona Vale, New South Wales , will be among the first to experience an innovative new café planned as part of a major Myer revamp at Warringah Mall.

The café was described by manager of the Warringah store Alexis Pead as a “key part” of the New Myer, which is expected to be completed by October this year.

Pead said the search was already on for someone to operate the new café, which proprietors are keen to see feature a distinctly ‘Northern Beaches’ feel that is trendy, fun, vibrant and fresh.

A key attribute of the new café operator will, she said, reflect the operator’s commitment to excellent service in all areas, ranging from POS printing documents to the quality of food.

Brain and Poulter, a food consultant that has previously assisted with restaurants and cafés at Sydney Airport and the Sydney Opera House, has been enlisted to help find the ideal tenant for the café.

Ideally, the search will seek out someone who already operates a Northern Beaches café and is wishing to expand, according to Suzie Brain.

Someone that knows what peninsular shoppers would value in a café, and also understands Myer’s philosophy of making shopping an all-round experience, would be needed, Brain said. She added that everyone from children and families, to men and women from all walks of life should be made to feel welcome at the new venue.
