Slacks Creek artists encouraged to exhibit

November 30, 2017 by

Logan Art Gallery will soon hold a workshop on how artists and other exhibitors can apply to exhibit in the gallery.

Michael Wardell, the art gallery’s coordinator, will address the question of how to submit a proposal for exhibition space. All artists, crafters and other exhibitors from Slacks Creek and surrounding suburbs of Logan are encouraged to attend.

Since its opening in 1995, Logan Art Gallery has provided the local community with a vibrant, ever-changing art space, filled with workshops, guided tours, and special events with artists. Any artist exhibiting here is likely to benefit from the exposure, so to be given the knowhow on submitting the initial proposal is likely to be a bonus.

A streamlined and trouble-free installation is more likely to result in a smoother experience for all parties involved. Those who attend the workshop may also gain insight into how they might use their local printing services to provide extras such as business cards and brochure printing.

The interactive information session will take place at the Logan Art Gallery, at the corner of Wembley Road and Jacaranda Avenue, Logan, on Saturday, December 9, from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm. Entrance is free, but advance booking is essential before Thursday, December 7, as light refreshments will be served. Those interested can book either by emailing or phoning 3412 5519.
