A pair of charities will benefit from a Ladies Night Out to be held in Slacks Creek in just a few days’ time.

The Logan branch of Babes & Picnics have planned a fun evening for mothers and expectant mothers. The proceeds will go to two supporters relevant to the October theme of Infant Loss Awareness

The first, Charlee’s Basket Bereavement Hampers was founded by Shaye Woodhouse after the stillbirth of her second child. The organisation brings some comfort into the lives of others by providing care hampers for families who have suffered this tragedy.

Sands Queensland, the second beneficiary, is an organisation that offers similar support. Sands – Stillborn and Newborn Death Support – holds various fundraisers throughout the year. One of them is the Walk to Remember, in which the orgnanisation encourage families affected by baby to join in, while at the same time raising funds to help other bereaved families. Events such as these are also aided by stationery printers, which offer flyer printing and other materials to mark the occasion.

Ladies Night Out will take place on Saturday, October 7, at Extraction Artisan Coffee, at 7/3375 Pacific Highway, Slacks Creek, from 7:00 pm. The cost is $60 per person, which includes a two-course meal, goodie bags and lucky prizes. Tickets can be reserved by emailing
