Stallholders urged to apply for 2017 Makers Market

Applications are being invited for stallholders at this year’s Makers Market.

Enjoyed annually by thousands of visitors and residents from Moorabbin, Braeside, the City of Kingston and across Melbourne, the Makers Market provides a showcase for high-quality products handmade by some of Victoria’s top artists, artisans and designers.

The event represents fun for the entire family with more than 90 stallholders providing a range of special gift ideas, as well as amazing activities for the kids, great food, pop up bar, performances and live music.

A spokesman for the organisers said a range of popular food trucks are set to return in 2017 including My Two Mums, Coffee Caboose, Vegelicious, Kalloni Little Desert Island, Twisted Fisherman, Mushiki Dumplings and The Greek Trojan Food Truck.

Also featured on flyer printing for the event is the Monash Masters Exhibition Prize which will be on show at the Kingston Arts Centre.

Two solo exhibitions by Kym Maxwell and Marnie Edmiston will featured at the exhibition.

Among the many activities on the Makers Market programme is an opportunity to join Sistaworks and create jewellery with some of the experts of the trade.

There is also be Face Paint by Children, story puzzle games in the Little Wooden Caravan and zebra spotting with Born In A Taxi.

The 2017 Makers Market event is an all-weather affair to be held in and around the undercover car parks at Kingston City Hall on December 9, from 3:00 to 8:00 pm.

Stallholder applications close on October 9.
