Summit to target female business leaders

February 9, 2017 by

A summit will be held near East Perth aimed at bridging the professional gap between genders in senior positions of leadership in Western Australia.

There have been many attempts to address the disparity in opportunities between male and female leaders, but the organisers of the summit believe that there are still many hurdles for women to overcome in order to realise their full potential in this area.

Delegates to the summit will hear presentations by many national speakers who are currently leaders in their field, providing information and helping to form the skills required to move ahead in business. Speakers include Professor Dawn Freshwater, who is the Senior Deputy Vice-Chancellor and Registrar at the University of Western Australia; Cindy Dunham, the Warehouse and Logistics General Manager at Rio Tinto and Vice-President of Health, Safety, Environment and Quality at Woodside Energy, Fiona Hick.

The program includes a number of case studies, interactive panel discussions and workshops. Events such as this often use banner printing, business cards printing, brochures and presentation folders.

The Women in Leadership Summit will be held at the Novotel Perth Langley, at 221 Adelaide Tce, Perth from Tuesday, March 7 to Friday, March 10. The sessions will open each day at 8:30 am and close at 4:30 pm. The summit is aimed at women in positions of leadership within business and organisations.
