Time to raise a stein at The Regatta

In the minds of most serious beer drinkers the month of October is linked to the idea of German beer-drinking festivals. The Regatta Hotel is going to celebrate in style with its annual German Festival.

Encouraged by the success of last year’s Festival, for three days the Regatta’s Laneway will again become Brisbane’s own German beer hall. There will be bottled and draught German style beers on offer plus German wines and liqueurs. For those who like their alcohol well-chilled there will be a Jägermeister Ice Luge. Tasty Bavarian food. such as bratwurst, pork knuckles, veal schnitzels and cheese kranskies will be on the menu, accompanied by mustard potatoes and even beer gravy, with sweet pretzels and apple or rhubarb strudels with fresh cream for dessert.

To add to the festive atmosphere there will be live music as well. Milton residents and visitors from other nearby towns are encouraged to wear their best pair of lederhosen or prettiest dirndl skirt and braids.
Before events such as this printing services are often busy preparing posters and banners, any of which might be souvenired by enthusiastic visitors.

The Regatta Hotel is at 543 Coronation Drive, Toowong and the Festival will run from 4pm Friday 12th till late and from midday till late on Saturday 13th and Sunday 14th October. There is no charge for admission.
