Top chefs coming to Perth for foodie fest

Three of Australia’s biggest chefs will be converging on Perth later this month for the Eat Drink Perth Festival.

Local chef Matt Stone, patissier Adriano Zumbo and Shaun Presland, executive chef at one of Australia’s leading groups of Japanese restaurants, Sake, will all be taking part in the festival.

Lisa Scaffidi, Perth’s lord mayor, said getting Adriano Zumbo to attend was of particular excitement. She commented:

“Adriano is one of Australia’s most celebrated patissiers. People flock to his specialty dessert venues in other parts of the country and since he’s yet to open one in Perth, we’re very thankful he’s making the trip here to be part of Eat Drink Perth.”

The other chefs will also be familiar to Perth food fans as they appear on MasterChef Australia.

On Thursday, March 26th, the group will be hosting a Collaboration Dinner at the Print Hall. Each level at the venue will offer a different food experience and no doubt printing services will be used to create menus to tempt the taste buds.

On Friday, March 27th, the group will be in the East Perth-based Twilight Hawkers Market – which runs from 4.30pm to 9pm – where they will be signing their cookbooks. Adriano Zumbo will also be launching his new book, The Zumbo Files.

The trio will be at the market from 6pm.
