Trick or treat spectacular will celebrate Halloween in style

October 23, 2016 by

Narre Warren, Victoria residents are invited to celebrate Halloween at two special spooky events to be held at Wilson Botanic Park Berwick (WBPB).

CEO Mike Tyler said residents from throughout the City of Casey are urged to take part in the two major events listed on calendars as part of the local celebrations.

He said the day’s activities will kick off with a special Trick or Treat Spectacular for the younger children between 3:00 pm and 6:00 pm.

Dressing up as popular characters is encouraged before the children embark on a 1km trail of trick or treating that features activities, entertainment, friendly and spooky characters and lollies. There will be plenty of signs showing the way.

Mr. Tyler said the evening programme for Halloween on October 30, from 7:00 pm until 10.30 pm, will raise the scare factor and is aimed at people aged over 13.

He said it would feature a 1km walk that simulates a ghost train experience, plus light and sound display, dancers, live music, food vendors and trucks.

The event, he added, will see the park transformed into what can be described as a spooky botanic playground for an afternoon and night of Halloween fun to be enjoyed by all ages.

Attendees over 18 will also have an opportunity to briefly step into the shoes of a paranormal investigator and learn about undertaking a live investigation while others can take part in a pumpkin carving contest.
