Tullamarine Melbourne International travellers get pay-per-visit lounge

The recently opened Marhaba lounge in the airport at Tullamarine, VIC allows paying travellers to use the lounge, regardless of the airlines they are travelling on.

This lounge is the first Marhaba-branded one in Australia, with others available in Dubai, Bahrain, and Karachi.

The contemporary lounge, operated by Dnata, features separate seating and dining areas, while offering guests a beautiful view. The lounge can seat approximately 200 guests, and a buffet spread, barista coffee and alcoholic drinks are served. Showers, free Wi-Fi and computers are also available for the convenience of travellers.

The Tullamarine Marhaba lounge is open daily from 6:00 am to midnight. The cost options to use the lounge are either $75 for four hours, or $150 for eight hours. Travellers are also allowed to make prior bookings online via the Marhaba website.

By having easy access to an international airport lounge, the idea is for holidaygoers to be given a comfortable place to relax and rejuvenate before or in between long-haul flights. From a business perspective, an international airport lounge is also a strategic place to drop off business cards to reach out to plenty of customers.

Dnata currently operates Alpha Flight Services, which is one of Australia’s leading in-flight catering companies. Gary Chapman, the company president, has also expressed interest in bringing additional Dnata services into the Australian market.
