Welshpool gets state-of-the-art self-storage facility

A new facility of Western Australia-based KeepSafe Storage is due to open in Welshpool during the first quarter of 2018. This project marks the third significant investment by KBR Group, costing approximately $10m.

The public will soon be able to see the new facility, with a 170-metre frontage along Leach Highway. The business, known for its simple red zigzag logo design, provides ‘Secure, Smart, Simple Storage Solutions’, as per its business motto.

The Welshpool facility is currently under construction, employing over 70 workers. The storage space is being designed and built to similar industry leading standards to the Balcatta and O’Connor facilities.

Over 650 storage units of different sizes will be provided to meet both residential and commercial storage needs. Handstands for external storage of caravans, boats, cars and containers will also be available.

For two years in a row, the Balcatta facility of KeepSafe Storage has received two awards – Facility of the Year 2017 and Small Operator of the Year 2017 – rising above competitors spanning across Australia and New Zealand. Managing Director of KBH Group Shaun Bain commented that KeepSafe is proud of the recognition received, especially due to the relatively young nature of the business and the current difficult WA economy.

Following the opening of the Welshpool facility, KeepSafe Storage will be strategically placed across Perth to serve customers in the Northern, Southern and Eastern suburbs.
