The Whitehorse City Council organises the annual Whitehorse Festival Season, which runs from spring to autumn. This annual event provides the community with a variety of events and activities the whole family can enjoy.

The calendar of events includes the following, all at Whitehouse Civic Centre Lawns, Nunawading:

• Spring Festival, 21 October 2018 from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm
• Whitehorse Carols, 16 December 2018 from 4:30 pm to 9:30 pm
• Whitehorse Australia Day Concert, 26 January 2019 from 5:00 pm to 10:00 pm

Other 2019 events include Swing Pop Boom, with three events at three different locations over three weekends in March 2019, and the Whitehorse Global Fiesta on March 17 from 12:00 noon to 4:00 pm at Box Hill Gardens.

The events celebrate the community of Whitehorse City and provide live music and artistic performances, rides, community stalls, craft and arts workshops, face-painting, photos with Santa, fireworks display, open air cinema, international food stalls and children’s activities.

Businesses, groups and organisations interested in promoting themselves can avail of sponsorship packages with the Whitehorse City Council. These can be for the entire season or for selected events. The Council is open to discussing tailored sponsorship on a case-to-case basis. Sponsors’ group name and logo design will be included in the festival marketing items, including signage and programs. Advertisement on the big screen during the Carols and Australia Day events are also available with some of the sponsorship options.

Residents of Mitcham will be keen to join the fun and partake of the opportunities presented by this annual event. Go to the website for more information on the festival and sponsorship options.
